Police not having guns works in the UK because the people don't have guns if the police don't have guns in the US where everyone has guns than the police will be totally helpless. Police will be hunted down left and right and won't be able to do their jobs. If you abolish the police all hell will break loose. Legit every person the police shoot turns out to be a career felon who was in and out of jail who society is better off without anyways.
