Minoxidil for eyelashes and eyebrows

Been thinking of buying some minoxidil 5% for the eyebrows and lashes. How safe would it be for the eyelashes, will it make a difference? How much time will it take? And are there "fake" minoxidil i should look out for before buying or is this a relatively safe buy from like Amazon or any website?

Use a tiny bit of Vaseline around the area (not on the lash line), then apply the latisse on the lash line, it acts as a barrier.
