Minoxidil growth lost on finasteride?

If i manage to regrow my temples using 5% topical minox, are the gains lost if I drop the minoxidil once on finasteride?

Seen tens of different opinions stating "objective" truths about it.

yes its two whole different processes, minoxidil helps regrowth finasteride helps to retain that growth. (the growth will still be lost if u quit minoxidil though)

if you only use minox, that regrowth will soon be lost once the dht aka norwood reaper catches up. You should use both, if you find the topical annoying u can do 7% once daily or oral.

theres more debate wheter eyelash/eyebrows/beard growth is more permanent which i cant speak on, but temple regrowth will need maintenance
