Minoxidil makes it thinner before it makes it thicker?

im using topical minoxidil and ive heard abt sum "minoxidil is going to get it thinner before it gets thicker" i dont really understand it and is it true? And when does that usually happens?

I mean in theory yes cause it causes shedding which replaces the weaker dogshit hairs with longer thicker hairs, if ur doing it for eyebrows it wont really be as dramatic and eyebrow hairs are shorter in general so its not like it will take long to get replaced
