recent photos of my hair at different lengths

My protocol:
  • fin 1mg for 1 year, hair loss appears stable
  • 20 sessions of microneedle dr pen 1.5mm every 7-10 days, minimal regrowth
Is my next step to add minoxidil? Get a hair transplant?

Well your balding seems somewhat severe. And in cases like there, fin won't work for long since it leaves 30% of the DHT, and all the testosterone unaccounted for.

If you want guaranteed regrowth, you would have to suppress androgens more thoroughly. Combine RU58841 with fin and will see improvement. If you add minoxidil, that would be even better, as all these compounds work synergistically.

Edit* A hair transplant is not a good ideal currently since your hair is sparse. It will make your overall density even worse if you move the hairs from the back and sides to your front. Get a transplant after you recover some density first.

This.

After transplantation you need to keep using these 3: fina + minox and maybe roller

Heres the thing; can you actually recover density permanently? I thought about thickening up my donor area with minox pre-transplant, but won’t it be pointless once the graft is extracted? I’ve never seen any real density recoveries on subreddits or hair forums.

All the hair treatments work only when you stay on it, they are never permanent; as soon as you hop off you will lose it.

No that's not gonna work, you will only get some intermediate hairs that will fall out very quickly once you quit min.

The protocol I stated can totally increase your density, increasing density is so much easier than regrowing temples. There are plenty of transformations man, I don't think you looked long enough.

Minox + microneedle + finasteride thickens u ur donor regions to so that you can get a transplant later on to fill in temples ngl
