Hey gents.

I just got a doctors appointment for genetic hairloss. I explained my situation and I asked for them to kindly consider giving me oral minoxidil, as I think it suits my situation better. I think they're gonna listen to me (hopefully) and prescribe me either topical or oral minoxidil. I'm pretty sure they won't combine it though with a blocker, like Finasteride or Dutasteride. I'm too young and it could harm my growth in puberty, as I'm 16. Anyhow, to the question :

Will minoxidil only save me? I heard that it can better my situation, but will it be enough for fixing the hair loss? If I should also pair it with something else, like micro needling or anything you can name, please do tell. I appreciate all answers.

Country law. Will probably also get stopped by customs if I buy off some international website

It will not be enough since the rootcause of hairloss is DHT but as long as youre under the age of 18-19 id say you shouldnt be taking 5AR's since you still need DHT for development as you pointed out so minoxidil is your best option and might delay further visible hair loss for a few years if you're lucky and then you can hop on an 5AR asap

What the hell is that, is it even safe? I searched it up and it says that it's not tested on humans long term...
It isnt, but you dont really have a better option, short term will have to suffice

Because hair is life

I can still expect some desired effects though right? Like increased hair density and better hair thickness by promoted hair growth

maybe that really depends on if you're responder and how well you respond to it.
Personally minoxidil does not do much for me but i know some people where it worked great for them at least initially. Just buy topical and a dermastamp / microneedling device if you have money and use that once a week and apply topical minoxidil everyday you'll see if it gets you where you want to be at least for now
