I look perfectly symmetrical in mirrors and pictures that people take of me with the back camera/selfies with me. But when I decide to take a selfie my face looks completely asymmetrical, can anyone explain this? Do people see me as I'm in the mirror or in selfies?

camera

mirror turns 360 your reflection

human face is asymmetrical

But what I don't understand is
> When other people take pictures of me/selfies with me I look symmetrical.
> When I take a selfie of myself I look asymmetrical

wtf?

there is mirror function in front camera that you can on/off

thats probably why you seem symmetrical

selfies strongly distort your face and make make existing asymmetries even look worse, especially if you use android phones.
Besides that pictures dont capture depth and thus a mirror is clearly more accurate.

mirror unless the camera is top notch, most people use some shitty phone cameras that make everything look extra shit, especially those selfies from up close that distort your face

Every retard here saying its because of image mirroring.

Its because of lens distortion, specially if you notice a difference between others taking pics of you (rear camera, far distance) and selfies.

just record yourself in video format from all distances and various walks and angles to see how people see you. end of convo
