Mistaking kindness for romance

this is topic i feel very strongly about and i know many of you do as well. what i mean by this is when you talk to a pretty girl that you like and she seems like she’s completely into you so you try to go farther into the relationship just to be hit with that friend barrier. there’s a couple reasons why this happens. one: she’s a genuinely nice girl and had no clue you liked her ( almost never happens. two: she could tell you admired her and she played into it to get that attention and then say your friends once you want more. guys please try to avoid this, my mindset is don’t assume they like you until they have said it themselves (JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE SAID I THINK THEY LIKE YOU DOES NOT MAKE IT TRUE), when you haven’t experienced love in a long time, its so easy to have this happen to you and it hurts so damn bad. Don’t get too attached until your official and don’t do something that would embarrass yourself if you found out they didn’t like you.

great analogy and i did experience this alot back in the day. every bit of attention from a female led me to hyperanalyze if they liked me.
