Mitochondria health compounds

Elamipretide(SS-31):
1766495107292

Introduction:
“Elamipretide (SS-31, MTP-131, Bendavia) is a mitochondria-targeting tetrapeptide designed to treat mitochondrial dysfunction via binding to cardiolipin (CL) on the inner mitochondrial membrane [3,5].” Now you may ask what is cardiolipin? “Cardiolipin is a critical phospholipid that maintains mitochondrial structure and electron transport chain function [3].” Why is this important ? well my nga check this quote out “ the interaction of Elamipretide with cardiolipin allows for the stabilization of mitochondrial cristae, a reduction in oxidative stress, and the enhancement of ATP production” This is basically explaining to you that Elamipretide binding to cardiolipin ( Cl ) is a great thing for you because it reduces your oxidative stress and enhances your atp production.

Pros:
reduced oxidative stress in mitochondria(age better) , enhanced Atp production

Cons:
“challenges remain in optimizing its delivery, understanding long-term effects, and expanding its applications to diverse mitochondrial-related conditions.”

Conclusion:
seems like a very promising compound I would highly recommend for roid users 7/10.

Urolithin A:
Introduction:
“Urolithin A has been shown to boost mitochondrial health by triggering mitophagy in both preclinical models of aging and in older adults.” This means that Urolithin A improves mitochondrial health by triggering mitophagy which gets rid of old and damaged mitochondria Thus improving total mitochondrial health as mentioned earlier. With long term supplementation it “significantly enhanced skeletal muscle–specific endurance and improved the metabolic markers of mitochondrial function in older adults.”

Pros:
Improves total mitochondrial health, Enhances skeletal muscle specific endurance in older adults

Cons:
Only long term use creates significant results for your mitochondrial health and skeletal muscle specific endurance.

Conclusion:
Mid results only good for long term use 5/10

Mot-C:
Introduction:
MOTS-c is “a 16-amino-acid peptide” what does it do ? it “regulates insulin sensitivity and metabolic homeostasis.”. Your body already creates MOTS-c and MOTS-c has been shown to improve metabolic health and insulin sensitivity. (id watch the video I linked for this it explains MOTS-c in a simple and easy to follow way + its entertaining asf. )

Pros:
Improves insulin sensitivity and metabolic health

Cons:
haven't seen or read anything even worth mentioning

Conclusion:
Nga take Exogenous MOTS-c its great I think it would also be good to take with hgh 9/10.

Good Video:
This video cites sources and has a great explanation for MOTS-c

NAD+:
Introduction:
What is NAD+? WEll “Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) is a coenzyme involved in a plethora of physiological reactions, with a key relevance in supporting mitochondrial function.”. How exactly is NAD+ related to the mitochondria? Well my nga “Following the catabolism of glucose in the cyto plasm as part of glycolysis, the generated pyruvate is transported to the mitochondrial matrix, where it feeds into the TCA, undergoing oxidation to reduce NAD+ to NADH, which is the main electron donor of the ETC87” This quote shows how cool and important NAD+ is to electron transport chain which is directly related to atp production. Now here is a quote supporting my claim “Given the importance of this organelle, maintenance of proper mitochondrial function and structure is essential, and dysfunction is a pathological hallmark of metabolic, muscular, and neurodegenerative conditions, which can be associated with aging in multiple tissues88,89.” So to simplify dont fuck arround with NAD+ it aids your Mitochondrion which is directly correlated to your aging.

Pros:
feeds the electron transport chain keeping it healthy

Cons:
very rare don't worry about it
Conclusion:
Id take it just to maintain mitochondria health but it's not as helpful as the other compounds I talked about. 6/10

good

i thought about running nad+ and ss-31 but after researching them a bit more they are too expensive for minimal benefit when you are young.

mots-c seems legit though and it's reasonably priced

Good thread.
I was surprised it didn't take you that long to make it.
could've gone into more detail.
Nonetheless, still very good.

Will listen to this advice I didn't go into detail because it's a more niche topic which means most readers already know what comes with these benefits. But will still add detail next time.

I’ve heard Nad doesn’t cross the blood brain barrier and doesn’t actually have as much benefit as people claim.

SS-31 does look very promising in the literature, but the pricing is completely absurd.
At clinical equivalent doses, you’d be paying something like 100-200$/ day.
