This is because people aren't marrying "for love".
Back when people got arranged marriages, the girl's family came together and chose a good long term partner for the daughter. Only serious family men were considered, there was no playing around. The girl got married young in the peak of her beauty to a man a few years older who already has a job, but is still young too. They grow together and have most of their first times together.
Now, instead of making a logical decision based on real options while they are young, they keep coping that they will be able to find a perfect man who fits all of her unrealistic checklists. Of course, the looks come fist. They end up getting sexually involved with chads, so they start believing that this is the level of attractiveness in a man that they deserve. Little do they know that chad only sees her as a fleshlight. But they just don't get it and keep chasing after chads and getting pumped and dumped.
They keep coping that they will "change" a chad. After a while, they do manage to pressure a chad into a relationship. For the girl, she's ecstatic that chad has finally chosen her, she shows him off to all of her friends and on social media, she starts dreaming of their future together and of having kids.... For the chad, he's just looking for a temporary source of easy sex, he never actually considers settling down with the girl. Chads will gladly fuck average girls, but they only see Stacies as marriage material.
Eventually, the relationship ends with chad cheating, since he was never serious to begin with. Then she cries about it and says all men are pigs, ignoring all of her average looking orbiters who would actually value her in a relationship. She knows that, and keeps them as a backup plan. But she refuses to look their way until she's exhausted all of chances with chad. They spend their entire twenties making the same mistakes over and over again.
Then after they hit 30 they get desperate, give up on chad and finally settle for their looksmatch. At that point, she's completely disillusioned, has been with men much better in bed than her husband, feels little attraction to him and is only with him for the stability and chasing the family dream.
Of course that doesn't work out in the end. Single moms and Divorce rates have never been higher. It's over for this generation.
