Is it just me or most modern models have terrible downward growth, its very odd ig agencies think that DG and its prtoblems like scleral show and recesed infras a unique. Not all some of the 0.1% are good but regular high level models look terrible. Actors always mog.

Longer doesnt equal DG, DG is bad, it aligns with some good harmony like a taller chin ,but its far from ideal I, get what ur thinking

Its because the people who look like that are the people that show up to castings because they confuse their downgrowth with an ideal tall face. I see videos of casting lines on my insta and almost all of the wannabe models are downgrown, gaunt, and low-dimo.

It's not more striking it is simply less intimidating

Research on FWHR shows that compact faces are more intimidating in sales contexts and may give negative impressions to potential buyers especially when it's a male

Modeling is still a sales context. I wouldn't be surprised if they know about this research explicitly or have just intuited it

It's also probably in part a result of height correlating with longer mid face

Increased demand for models may cause lower standards and instead of selecting for tall + compact midface you just start selecting for anyone who is tall and thin and that means you probably get more long midfaces

Tall + thin + compact midface + GL is genetic elite. Not many like that running around

We've all seen photos of GL models with compact midfaces their midface length doesn't impact how good the photos look or how attractive they are

GL is GL in any lighting
