What if instead of getting the horizontal cut, you get only the sagittal cut. Wouldn't that be more efficient than just a corticopuncture?

What do you mean? We don't talk of anything else other than widening that area on this site lol

They're for two different things. One is for the widening of the chin and the other for the widening of the palate/maxilla.

Msdo will not increase your bigonion. you either need a jaw osteotomy or implants
which looks better also ik it has to do with masseter inseretion

They're both different techniques that can give you the same outlook. Though I prefer something more "real" like my own bone instead of silicone.

me too i would do the jaw osteomoty then for the pitt jaw

Imdo is legit for increasing bigonial tbh, i think in paul Coceancig he mentioned a patient having a wider bigonial by 11%

What do you think of this modified sarpe?

Won't improve zygos, it's prolly better to just get mse, prolly only get it if MSE fails.
MSE has like a 98% success rate; as you age the harder it is for the suture to split but Ron is 30 and his zygos grew a lot along with a suture split. @varbrah said his friends suture didn’t split for whatever reason

Yes indeed, as i mentioned sarpe should only be done if MSE fails which is unlikely
@GetThatBread when i said it won't improve zygos i was refering to sarpe not to MSE

Has anything like that ever been done? Cause there should be a reason why this isn't offered... Maybe it causes outward rotation?

Man, I'm referring to the modified sarpe. Just the sagittal cut in the middle of the palate, no horizontal.

Oh my bad didn't realize it.
Yes, i think it would work although idk why most surgeons don't perform it (maybe due to resistance by the cheekbones)
