The difference is that his threads get reported and aren’t just little insults that commonly get thrown around by a multitude of users. They’re elaborate threads persecuting and humiliating users in the most entertaining way.

Banning half the userbase isn’t feasible, but neither is disregarding the rule as a whole. Which is why it’s up to us, to decide whether one should get warned for their post or not. Which might seem unfair to you, which it is, but then again, the forum has never been a democracy to begin with.

Its also blatantly obvious that at the end of the day "it's up to you" cuz its already seen how staff take decisions at their own discretion and then claim that if we want it revoked we need a poll invocating the whole userbase, and even then everything is ignored.

These are "the little insults" but brbback is harassing? Also I dont see why someone who is BRAGGING and LARPING about their lifestyle or how look they good or is plain and simply talking shit should be protected from being flamed. It's just absurd. Watch what you post yourself if you don't want it coming back at you... if it does then don't cry. Not even mentioning that the individual in concrete might have offended multiple users in some way and that's also contributing as to why they're being eviscerated.

If it’s blatantly obvious warnings in lots of cases are up to moderator discretion, why were you even wondering why some users get warned for harassment and others don’t? The answer should be evident if so.
Nothing wrong with staff suggesting you make polls if you want to have policy changed, you should just keep in mind that even if the overwhelming majority of the forum votes on something, it’s still not guaranteed to come into fruition.

There’s a difference between posting a short insignificant post insulting someone and making an elaborate thread persecuting/humiliating users. Even then, he doesn’t get warned for the majority of the evisceration threads he makes, otherwise he would’ve been permanently banned long ago.

If caught bragging or larping, you can report the user, since it usually isn’t allowed. You can still freely insult users and in 99% of cases, you don’t get a warning. No one is prevented from critiquing users.

You cannot intend to use this as an argument jfl. That's just reaffirming my point. 1 person is enough to implement and then want a massive amount of users to be involved in order to revoke it. Also, "a decent sugestion", that's debatable to say the least, it wasn't ever debated since admin didn't participate and I didn't see the reason why involving the current mods in the whole thing. For it to be so decent there never was a solid argument though.

1 person is enough because only 1 person is required to make a suggestion. The notion you require a massive amount of users to revoke a change in the rules isn’t true. A poll just shows how popular a suggestion is among the userbase. Increasing the chances of it getting accepted or not.

There is freedom of speech, you can say whatever you want, but for some things there will be consequences. Yes, most of his threads contain public information but he’s leaked private information in several cases, which he’s gotten warned for. If you report posts/threads where the other user is evidently breaking the rules, he’ll get warned as well, simple as.

Sure, but let’s not kid ourselves, a quick look at his thread/post history makes it evident most of his posts were shitposts/low effort threads. As for me, I’ve created several threads that contributed to the creation of discussions before becoming a moderator. Two of my threads are in the BotB as well.

No way you’d go out of your way to do all this if it was someone you didn’t care about. I like @goat2x, he’s arguably the funniest user here but I can’t unban him because I like him. He broke the rules and that’s that. His permanent ban isn’t set in stone, there’s been lots of users who have been “permanently” banned but are unbanned today. As long as he doesn’t try to evade the ban, there’s always a chance.
