No, I’m not Sindhi either. You know there’s more Indic groups than just Punjabis and Sindhis, right? But I will do a DNA test, hoping it may shed some light. In my region, Jatt refers to people who don’t know about their historical background. That sets it apart from all the other “real” Jatts. I thought we had no migration history but I was wrong. I know nothing about my maternal side of the family. None of us do. Although DNA tests aren’t actually reliable, they just check which regions you overlap with genetically speaking. Like, if your genes are commonly found in, let’s say, Sindh, they’ll say your ancestry is from there. So I won’t see it as the magic answer that gives me all the insight. I guess I would have to get the raw data and do further analysis on my own. Have you done any of it? I’d like to do some G25s or whatever. I only have no idea how people inject their own data into these.

yeah ive done it lol. You just have to do a dna test like 23andme and then download your "raw data" and then upload it into the g25 calc.

No, like I said in my earlier post ITT.. in my region, being Jatt doesn’t mean to the actual Jatt caste. It means you don’t know your historical background. That’s only my maternal side though. But my paternal came from Jammu and Kashmir and they call themselves Rajputs. The funny thing is, even in my maternal side of the family, there’s people who identify as Rajputs. It’s an entire clusterfuck if you ask me. I also realized that my relatives with colored hair and colored eyes are on my paternal side of the family, the side that came from Jammu and Kashmir. It wasn’t a recent migration either, but going back centuries. This explains why we had no idea we weren’t actual natives to the soil.
