Moisturizing makes a huge difference

Its one of those normie things people here will scoff at but its something like a glitch in the matrix that can ascend you irl.

I use urea which is one of the most hygroscopic molecules and can also lighten hyperpigmentation, remove dead skin cells etc (great when youre also using retinoids). Using aloe vera with some hylauronic acid before applying urea is even better.
