I know. I've paid $535/mo in rent to stay with my parents all of 2019. Am forced to work at least 30 hours a week or I'll get kicked out. I pay for all of my own expenses. I've paid the water bill for like 2 years now. Now she wants me to pay the gas too. The house is paid off. It's just semantics + property taxes at this point (even that may be voted away).

It's an oversized paid off house in the suburbs. I'd have to live in the boonies to have a cheap cost of living.

She even asked for a budget/business plan and I got out of that by ignoring her.

40k isn’t enough to live alone. In my state you need 50k to rent your own apartment. I told you I pay for my own expenses. I pay for my own food. I don’t get any services. What are you even talking about?
