it's fine in the top picture, in the bottom one it's something you can fix pretty soon, the problem is when you have a lot of stuff laying on the floor like piles of dirty clothes, bags of junk food, and items you had on shelves but that fell onto the ground or just other items you left on the floor and didn't put back in place, when it gets bad it can takes days to clean and if you have low energy / depression / some mental condition like ocd in my case (not the cleaning type) then cleaning your room becomes a challenge.
