I’m stocking up on polo Ralph Lauren clothes, and cashmere sweaters of various brands. I’ve got a closets full of new clothes with tags. I look for deep discount clearance prices and fully expect to sell it for multiples of the msrp in a couple years. Not expecting a mad Max road warrior type scenario where I am, but more of a protracted decline over 10 years or more with supply chain issues and sanction wars meaning people won’t be able to get things they used to take for granted. People won’t starve to death but you’re going to have to get on a waiting list just to get a chance to buy socks etc. Look at how it was in the Soviet Union. If you had a pair of America blue jeans you could trade them to a party member or a black market dealer for a whole bucket full of primo caviar.
