You could’ve been out there doing all sorts of sketchy stuff, but once you’ve got that cash flow, suddenly everyone’s looking at you differently. They respect you now.
You could have been selling crack to pregnant women or scamming old people online, but as long as you’re rolling in big money now, respect is guaranteed. It’s like people have selective amnesia when it comes to wealth. It's like the past just fades away behind a stack of hundred-dollar bills.
No matter how honest and hard working you are, if you are broke you will be mistreated and looked at with disdain. But a rich person, no matter how they got there, gets treated like fucking royalty.
So, yeah, money really does buy redemption—whether you deserve it or not.
