Ray Dailio's advice is good for the most part. But his "Be Open-Minded, and believability weight different people's views". can be improved. It requires access to many different experts.

Instead use the best Ai you can afford to get different perspectives (cheaper than humans and already PHD Level), as well as argue both sides of a position against your self to refine your model of reality.

Effort * Time * Energy * Accuracy of Model of Reality = Result.

This is why Jewish culture makes more money than American culture imho. American culture highly values hard work, which is why we earn more than some other cultures. But we don't value continuous life long learning, or debating all the time. Jewish culture values life long learning (via books, courses, etc.) and refining their models of reality with debate.

"Peak - Secret's from the New Science of Expertise" is another book that can help. As well as "The four hour work week", and "The Lean Startup". Donald Trump's Business books are good for general motivation.

The concepts you'll come across are all "water" but it's good to pound all of this water advice into your head from many different angles to change how you think on a day to day basis.

One of the things that kills many people's goals is "Shiny Object Syndrome". Hold a deep understanding of this concept, because shiny object syndrome will kill most people's goals. Maybe even reading a book or two on shiny object syndrome would be worth it.

But don't get overwhelmed by all of these books and videos. You could make reading or watching one of these videos before bed a routine, you do for twenty minutes or so to relax a day, as a Kind of Sail for your mind to push you back on track. Yes, all water advice, but without continually reinforcing the ideas, your mind may wander and you could drift off course and wind up somewhere you don't want.

Also meditating for 10 minutes a day increases outputs more than the time lost of meditating for 10 minutes. You'll come up with better ideas, think faster, improve sleep, improve learning, etc. that will have a positive ROI (most likely).

Also I respect you for wanting to change your life.

Most people genuinely want to rot and complain about their life. I genuinely respect you, and think you are an intelligent.

Yes. I mean, I'm dirt poor don't get me wrong, but my dream of working for myself and being able to live where I want is pretty much a reality and my income is increasing. That's all I wanted, I'm a simple man.

And most people who try to have a solo online business, fail, so I'd say these principles have helped me succeed where most fail.

It's all the path you want to go down. I intentionally went down a relatively humble path, because I don't need much, but definitely need to location max lol. But it's working.

You understand me very well.

I could cry, complain, blame others etc all day, but that won’t change shit. I have to take responsibility. Nobody cares and will care about my problems.
I’m the one that has to do it.

Step by step. I’m almost at rock bottom. Well actually, there is no rock bottom; it doesn’t exist. It can ALWAYS get worse, no matter how bad things already are.

I take it you've read a few mindset or similar books?

I've noticed most people don't have the mindset of solving problems, or even wanting to solve problems, because it's not in the culture. I'm curious where you picked it up from?

I went to a couple mindset academies back in 2023, watched tons of videos about it and i’ve read some books like: “can’t hurt me~david goggins” and a couple others.

Also, villain characters like the joker for example have very unique and interesting perspectives regarding mindset and how to handle pain.
-“pain is your mentor”
-“ smile in the face of chaos”
- “paranoia is a gift”
- “pain is your best friend”

See pain as a blessing in disguise. Change your perspective regarding it. Pain will get you out of the comfort zone and actually change your life.
Sometimes 2 steps back means 1 step forward.
