I have seen enough family situations where the good looking son is bailed out of jail no matter how high the cost while ugly members just get left out completely to say it is 100% true.

Women are pre-programmed to coddle and treat well guys who look much above average. No matter how much of a jerk that guy is.
They also dislike siblings, even their own children, who look less appealing physically.
