More men than women want to marry and have kids

About 8 in 10 fathers surveyed said they always knew they wanted to have children, compared with about 7 in 10 mothers (Source)

Younger people confirm this. More women than men have doubts about becoming parents:

Among singles without children under 18, more men (24%) than women (15%) say they want children (Source)

Still, men foolishly think women want to marry more than they do. When asked couples "Who is more interested in getting marry, the man or the woman?", 16% of women said the man and 18% said the woman. With men, 7% said the man, but 24% said the woman! Ridiculous.

The only reason men want to get married is for the sexual assurance they would get in it. Or else, I'm sure everyone wants to continue slaying multiple women IF they had the ability to, instead of settling down with one woman who they will eventually get bored of.

Yes, imagine a woman walking through the wall, seeing her beauty go away, along with all the validation, having to work a stressful job. While her friend is at home taking care of her children being supported by her husband.
With men it's the opposite, they've seen their friends have to work hard to support their wife, only to end up getting divorced.

I think most women prefer to work a job rather than stay at home with kids. But yes once you see your friends getting married and having to deal with kids and family life it takes away any illusions you had when you were younger. It's interesting though because you see some guys get divorced and jump RIGHT BACK into marrying a different woman!

I don't underestimate. Even if they prefer it, they still respond to basic instincts, which is why they are still hypergamous for status and money.
