I work at a tech company at New York and can confirm that all these 'speciality' roles are exactly like this. They dont do any work, usually part of some 'team member building' bullshit, and make meditation guides or some poster charts on taking mental health breaks

The only upside is that they pay them dogshit and they still sucker up to it for a chance to live in New York. (its not really worth it imo)
