It's all cope. Most of them know looks (height as an extension) actually do matter, they just associate speaking about it with "le inkwels" (misogyny as an extension), and they are essentially the mortal enemy of bluepillers. Everyone knows it matters, it's more about the fact that there is now a correlation with speaking about looks with incels and the blackpill sphere and such. Also, in an individualistic society, more blame is placed on the individual if they fail, rather than the society itself. "The only reason you don't get laid is because you have a bad personality and are not confident!!" etc etc, rather than "Unfortunately, humans, like with all other animals on the fucking Earth, exhibit mate selection depending on the larger circumstances regarding physical and non-physical traits, it's the reason we even feel attraction (simply a chemical process) in the first place, and some people have more "physically attractive" features than others". Of course the second is obviously correct from a scientific standpoint, but the science is too close to not only blackpill-speak, but a truth that is too bleak to face, thus people want to avoid it. Though, as there is no static solid "human nature", the attraction to certain features could "change" in certain ways I'd think, depending on the circumstances. Many different cultures and such have had different standards of beauty. It depends quite a bit on socialisation under the time period or system you are in.
