This happened in early 2023. First year in highschool. I had my airpods in mid class playing some godawful girly music, everyone was talking to one another and I just had my head down on my table listening. All of a sudden I hear a *beep beep* ? It was my $15 dollar chinese airpods from temu that ran out of battery and died suddenly. But before I could even process what was happening, the entire class went deathly silent you couldnt even hear a single breath it felt like an eternity passed, and then it came....
A girly voice exclaiming "WERE LIVING LIKE GIANTS, WE'RE GIANTS, WERE BIGGER THAN GIANTS, WERE GIANTS OOHOHOH!!" on 200% volume coming from the pocket of my phone. kill me
. fuck this shit was so brutal. I scrambled as fast as I could to reach for my phone but it was zipped inside my pants pocket at that point it was far too late. EVERYONE just collectively looked at me afer hearing that, and started... CAGING it was so brutallll. Whats even worse was the huzz was there, including my crush, all the homies that had respect for me were there too.... my hg was in the back she had a look of disappointment ill never forget she just felt so bad for me. They laughed for like 10 entire seconds that felt like eternity I cant even describe in words how that felt. Another worse thing is that
But luckily the teacher saved me she told me to take my phone to the office, but lowkey in a way I could tell she was tryna save me embarassment like a free pass out of that brutal environment. The walk of shame where I just looked down and left the class was so brutal everyone was just staring at this absolute loser of a human being.
I went to the bathroom instead, and my homie was there told him what happened he was understanding gave me a whole pep talk, and went back in there people started giggling straight away but, I kept a straight face acted like nothing happened looking like this. And it genuinely worked, the class went back to normal for a little bit, then one of the jesters tried making fun of me as loud as possible, I owned it and lied that "someone was calling me" and that it was my ringtone and he believed it, the class didnt make fun of me after that, cause it kinda just looked like I was being a jester and owning up to it for laughs. This moment surprisingly never got mentioned again for my next 3 years at school. So... luckily it was a good ending for me, moral of the story embarassing moments never last unless you let it, just own up to it and move on people dont bully someone that doesn't care.
Eventually I ascended and even had girls asking me out quite frequently but mostly in my senior year after this baka became a nonchalant dreadhead.
