I would do everything I could because I wish I could go back to when I was younger. I wish I knew what I do now back then to ensure proper development. I feel pain looking back. I'd be effectively living my own fantasy through him

Its only natural you want your son to be chad, parents project their own goals onto their children all the time. It's better to project something more abstract that will help him in every facet of his life and in every way he chooses his life such as looks instead of planning out their childrens life like most parents do

exactly. most parents just fuck one time, "oh it's a boy tee-hee". there's no long term plan or anything just the generic fuck up, send them to school, try to save up for college. and then I'm sure most have yelled/traumatized the child in some way that was easily avoidable. nobody really thinks about their children's actual future, what they could be doing for them. I would be thankful everyday for proper development growing up, I really would. and yeah, I've played that scenario out in my head everytime. "what if I could just go back a couple years, when I was x...." "I was just moutbbreathing and eating like shit why didn't to know. it was so obvious" "well I guess I should be glad I'm at least relatively young" etc etc
