The problem isn't AI's capabilities, it's the energy and infrastructure needed to replace almost all job

While some jobs will require an LLM running 24*7 with the buisness
Some jobs will require robots nd mini mechatronics
Needing all of this will be very expensive

AI will only replace repetitive tasks, it only knows how to reitirate. In my opinion its amazing peolple wont have to wageslave their life away flipping burgers etc. With population decline and effectivised productivity the average person will get richer only though if they contribute in new ways and not copying/slop

Ai is already proven better at diagnosing than GPs + radiologists analysing imaging/xrays

I mean you legit need engineers to design, manage, build ai and robots. They aren't gonna let regular people do that.

The job market for all new interns is rough for every job, but imo engineering still has decent grad options.

Its pretty obvious that, less jobs = more technology or ai to replace them. This similtainiously creates more jobs(related to the technology) that very few people have access to. Engineering is probably the most safest possible option because of this.

I think going for a trade is good, Or if going the stem route do engineering.

If ai blows up, it will be the centre of the world. Any job related to ai will be very high pay.
