i almost never see adults actually happy with their life. Notice how they always preach dicipline (because their lives are so shit they need discipline to just get trough the day) and saying "it will only get worse when your grown up"?, they are all conditioned into believing life is hell and that maybe if they slave away for 50 years at the end they get some sort of reward as in retirement or if they are religious heaven. Also the reason your parents yell at you the moment they come home from the job they hate, they have to act disciplined and jolly at work with the people who are "important" and than lash out at their kids.
