For example the average dude thinks he is handsome and charming, despite the fact that he is invisible to women and he goes about his life sliding into womens DM‘s, hitting on women, looking at them "flirty“, thinking he is seductive and women would fall in love with him and all that, while he‘s just making a fool of himself without realizing until one day he sees himself on a TikTok video with the title "POV: Creepy man stared at me on the train“ and then his whole world falls apart and he begins to understand for the first time and realizes he isn’t that charming man he thought he was.

This is most men, don’t be that guy! Don’t overestimate yourself or else you will get dissapointed.

Yeah like this rule applies to more than just looks, humans in general tend to overestimate themselves, for example most people think they could fight off a home intruder, they have this fantasy in their mind where they fight him off like Jackie Chan, while in reality they would freeze in fear, hide in their closet and call the police for help.
