You can still forgive without forgetting and taking accountability to both the minor and major wrongs people do to you. Most people don't know how to seperate morals through feelings with moral logic.

i see what you mean now, luckily for us most people don’t really do this though. In most instances forgiving but not forgetting still holds some feelings of resentment

I theorize that for most they are basically one in the same, if something is forgiven it’s because it’s forgotten, and the other way around
