Yes, I mean realistically even if I applied myself now, at my age I will never catch up to anyone who even slightly applied themselves in their 20s so there is no point and I might as well just be lazy to minimise suffering and use what intelligence I have to maximise how lazy I can be.

It's not as easy as pulling yourself up by your bootstraps, this world can throw you a deck of cards that is embarrassingly horrible, life is a really unfair game, alot of stuff is out of your control

I do agree though somewhat that you should always try and make things as best as you can for yourself, but most people aren't going to get a happy ending, they can get a better ending though than from being lazy

Tldr; it's mostly about luck, environment, wealth, genetics not hard work, but still hard work counts
