Having a chin that’s recessed enough to ruin your face is pretty rare. Mandible on the other hand is something you can see if you just walk outside

Then again like any other feature if everything else is great it covers it up, but I do agree with your point, your side could be recessed as fuck but it doesn’t matter if your gonions are wide, ur zygos are laterally projected, ur lean and u have good features

Yeah jaw recession usually means downgrowth and that means fucked up lower third and midface in general but even if it isn’t downgrowth it still ruins ur frontal pretty heavily, chin barely impacts anything unless it’s severe recession
