They are very poor at explaining their subjects, especially STEM teachers.

If they were good, they wouldn’t go to some trash university and instead would pursue careers in Tech, Engineering, finance, pharma ect. Simple as that.

Muh passion.

Exactly, if they were so good at STEM, they wouldn’t be some overworked underpaid teacher for some shitty underfunded school and instead would be scientists.

For sixth form I went to a very good school where my teachers actually studied their field at top unis. They usually had a strong career before going into teaching. Such a huge difference in quality

Yeah my sixth form was quite good too, but my chemistry teacher always overcomplicated stuff so much when he really didnt need to be doing all that. Especially in y12 physical chemistry where its meant to be super straight forward

But tbh I don't fully agree I know plenty of teachers who are good at teaching without being very sucessful in their field
And slot wjo are really sucessful in their field are autists who suck ass at teaching

You'll find some good ones as they simply need a decent paying job and lecturing comes easily for them.

Scientists are probably paid even worse lmao. Hence needing to get a job, but yeah lots of professors do prob suck. I can't speak from experience.
