He's right actually, it reduces chin projection but increases ramus height, that's why i'm skeptical to use the chin as a dimorphic trait since it's inheretly the result of a small jaw in humans

A ccw rotation of the maxilla will increase chin projection from side but it will reduce chin height.

You can have a tall chin and an insane maxilla at the same time like ramirez :
