This method would 100% work I think it depends on your age tbh on how well because dentists use a similar thing a palate expander which does the exact same thing, however this would be much more slower which is honestly better @Clavicular explained this in his video he said he estimated roughly 0.1mm of maxilla movement a week but if you thumb pulled more frequently and harder I think you could get up to 0.5mm (dependant on age too)

Thumbpulling will fuck you will like it fucked me. If you thumb pull, you put pressure on the posterior part of the maxilla (back of the maxilla) that means that the posterior part of the maxilla goes up and anterior part of the maxilla(front part of the maxilla) drops downward because of vertical growth of the maxilla. Vertical growth of the maxilla will make you’re midface longer, worsen eye support and fuck up your whole maxilla making you look like a horse and this shit is irreversible. It was my biggest mistake and I am still stuck with it because I can’t reverse this shit and I was also 17 at this time and growing. Just be careful

Thumb pulling saved my maxilla so much and pulled it foward, idk what you were thinking but I have never pushed upward on my posterior maxilla. I only push foward where there is room to push foward and upward. I also like to pull from the back molars to help squeeze the posterior maxilla downward so my gonial angl doesn’t get worse.
