My maxilla is obviously recessed. Is surgery overkill and if not what do you believe I should get done? Would bimax, rhino, zygo implants, and infraorbital implants ascend me? Hoping I can get a high iq response.

If you feel the urge to mouth breathe all the time it's likely because your nose has airflow restriction. Make sure have no nose issues before worrying about anything else

Yes bimax would be overkill for you. You're not even recessed, you just have loose hyoid skin

Rhino might be necessary but OP should get Bimax first and then see whether he still wants to alter his nose.

Yeh I know when the maxilla get pushed forward it will straighten the nose but I dont think it will fix it

Your recession is not death-tier but it is the reason you have the dorsal hump.
Go for Bimax > Infraorbitals or fat grafting > Rhino (if necessary) > Malar implants.

Some surgeons do Bimax and rhino together. You can probably also get infras and malar implants at the same time in Turkey, but fat grafting would have to be done separately, i.e., if you choose to do it.

People here just have to disagree with whatever is initially said. I’m clearly recessed and I think the main issue that has resulted from it is bad under-eye support which bimax doesn’t really fix because the cut is too low on the maxilla

You could see about a high cut LF1 or a LF2 but that might not fully address the infraorbital recession regardless.

To answer your initial question, surgery is not overkill, and I think your best bet is to consult with surgeons regarding what is going to be most applicable for you, but entertain the ideas aforementioned.

this is a weird phenomenon I have noticed, when I am exercising, and just awake my body always prioritizes nose breathing and it's never difficult. however when I sleep I notice that I am prone to open my mouth and wake up in the middle of the night if I am sleeping on my back, if I have mouthtape and sleep on side I dont wake up.
