can applying mouth tape over a long period of time extend the philtrum in the long term ?

idk i've been doing it work 3 months my maxilla kinda got better because I was a mouth breather during night

i was just thinking that it tugs on the philtrum skin for 8+ hours a night makes me a bit hesitant to put it on
