Mouthguard ascension?

Dentist gave me moulded mouth guard have to wear it when not eating he says bc i grind my teeth too much anything i can do to help me ascend . Could’ve asked for palate expander but was too scared he said my teeth are perfectly normal btw mold is my bottom teeth but seeing him next him 3 month this time i’ll ask idk im just scared to ask or at least ask to refer me to an orthodontist
