If you give loans with interest you will get the most dirty scumbags and sociopaths on top of your society. If you give loans without interest only the most honourable people would offer such loans, and although there would be less loans at the same time there would be less need for it because money would more coherently distributed (Dont get me wrong im against communism)

Only reason interest loans survived is because of the desperation of people at a time in which there wasn't enough knowledge of how to find and use resources in lots of places, so there was this elite that always had money as long as you bowed to increase it for them after some time or risk your leg being broken by a thug. Even back in the day interest loans were unjustified but now it is straight an insult given how we know to exploit resources and have the means to transport them to the other side of the world in one day.

Interest is something that will exist anyways, just as killers and rapists exist. Interest loaners are not much better than them, there is a reason prisons and wall street share similar percentages of psychos and sociopaths. Also desperate people who are in need will always exist also, it's almost a balance and they/we somehow complement eachother.

They sacrifice their own time by giving you that money.

They sacrifice investment opportunities that could've multiplied by giving you that money.

They take a risk that money won't come back. If 0 interest loans were the norm lenders would only recover a percentage back.

They also have business expenses. Employees. Websites. Have to comply with laws.
