Question for those who have studied MSE: if someone has an asymmetrical palate, is it possible to expand one side more than the other to achieve better symmetry? Also, can palatal asymmetry contribute to facial asymmetry, and would that asymmetry improve after expansion?

1.Totally if there is palatal asymmetry the second goal of the appliance should be to fix the asymmetry (first is getting mms of expansion) ask your orthodontist or say it in your consultation.
2. Facial asymmetry can be from plethora of factors e.g. compensatory posture misaligning your CO-C1 joint which misaligns occipital and therefore sphenoid, muscular imbalance on left and right sides. So fixing palatal asymmetry can or may not fix asymmetries, however I would say if you have cranial sidebending/torsion it wont
