Some people (not everyone of course, but I've heard this a few times in recent years) think MSE would improve hollow cheeks by "widening zygos". While this may sound logical at first, it is often a conclusion based on anecdotal evidence, and anecdotes can easily mislead.
People who post their "MSE ascensions" on online forums such as reddit or looksmax.org subconsciously fraud lighting to make their "MSE ascensions" look more impressive than they really are.
I'm not saying MSE is "cope", I'm trying to take a more objective stance on the nature of its effects.
Purely from a physics standpoint, widening the dental arch more than zygomatic width is widened will reduce hollow cheeks, rather than improve them.
However, this does not mean MSE is the wrong decision.
First of all, hollow cheeks are not the only aspect of attractiveness. A wider, more developed bone structure is generally more important than cheek hollowness. Secondly, any subtle decrease in cheek hollowness from MSE can be offset by injecting fat dissolvers.
