Segmental works instantly and it doesn't create gaps between all teeth. But it only widens your palate. Mse can widen all your airways including nasal. If you're doing it for medical reasons MSE is better. But cosmetic results are often wonky.

no idea, guessing like 6-12 months. you can do Invisalign, and you can do it after, so it shouldn't really be a big deal
