I have yet to understand what the idea behind using MSE to cause forward growth of the maxilla is. Maybe I'm just the uneducated one but here's my thoughts:can mse fix my infraorbitals reccesion i decided that I have it because my mother has dark circles under her eyes genetically and I do too + in profile my eyes look like I have it
i have no idea what i should if mse wont help meI have yet to understand what the idea behind using MSE to cause forward growth of the maxilla is. Maybe I'm just the uneducated one but here's my thoughts:
1) If you don't have a narrow palate, all MSE is going to do is further fuck you up, and also fuck up your teeth spacing. If your palate is of good width, you don't have speech issues, problems fitting your tongue in the roof of your mouth or issues with crowding, then MSE is probably not the move.
2) MSE is supposed to cause transversal/horizontal expansion, and as you may know, forward/sagittal growth is well.. Forward. While MSE can cause some degree of forward growth, (as far as I'm concerned) it will be very minor since that's not it's primary function.
So that's likely not the solution you want.
Well if your goal is purely fixing your orbital recession your best bet is just implants, if your whole maxilla is recessed and that's indirectly causing the orbital recession too then Lefort is probably your solution.i have no idea what i should if mse wont help me
I think my maxilla is okay but i have mandible reccesion too i think there no way to fix it at 15 only work and wait for implantsWell if your goal is purely fixing your orbital recession your best bet is just implants, if your whole maxilla is recessed and that's indirectly causing the orbital recession too then Lefort is probably your solution.
At 15 a recessed mandible is pretty hard to fix, and by the time you finish puberty you'll likely be more or less recessed. But by correcting your oral habits now you can still make some progress, and if you do decide to get something like bimax later on then the advancement you'll need to make will be much smaller and recovery will be better, also you won't walk around being as recessed as you may be right now.I think my maxilla is okay but i have mandible reccesion too i think there no way to fix it at 15 only work and wait for implants
