mse widens ur upper jaw and makes ur pallet more expanded, therefore wider maxilla. and yes it does matter if u larp bcs you won't be prescribed anything if if ur airways are normal and if you have a normal bite. there are some side effects too but honestly who cares do what you want atp

EXTREMELY late but if you stick your tongue out, as far as you can and you can see your hyoid and suprahyoid go up and your natural tongue resting position is on the bottom of your jaw then it might be narrow

discomfort in the teeth, frequent headaches, some difficulty in chewing/speaking temporarily, possible gap tooth, assymetrical expansion (if device is activated unevenly). obviously all of these aren't guaranteed, they should just be considered before you do something, as with all medical procedures..
