MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane)

KEEP in mind that most of the information I will be showing here is largely anecdotal as research is sparse on MSM's effects on eye color, or even skin color. But, it doesn't really have any sides so I think it may not hurt to try.

Methylsulfonylmethane is a sulfur-type substance that helps with joint health and protection, but it also has some detoxifying/skin lightening/softening properties. Some even argue it lightened their eye color (which I believe, but only in the case of megadosing which I will explain later, or if you have some kind of light-eyed parent while being brown-eyed.)

It is also known for improving hair texture and strength, and some people say it can loosen curls very slightly. Some may be skeptical of all of these properties and I will go through them all. However, even if you are skeptical you may as well try. You could get some 1-2 months' worth of tablets for 9$-10$ at your local pharmacy. Or $23 for a pound or more of powder online.

There are a lot of anecdotal threads on skincaretalk, and here is where I will talk about the megadosing of it. Many on that forum were taking 5,000 mg or MORE which could pose issues for your stomach/kidney area. It's up to you if you want to go that far, but realistically 5,000 mg should be enough. However, if you stay on the lighter side like 1-2,000 mg daily you likely won't see much of a change.

So, in conclusion, while the eye-lightening effects of MSM are largely anecdotal, the other benefits are, actually, real. In a study by NaturalMedicineJournal, the effect of MSM on the "expression of 92 genes associated with skin function" was studied.

Two groups, one taking 3g MSM daily over 16 weeks vs the other group taking a placebo for 16 weeks.

Accordingly, after the study, skin health was "evaluated through expert grading, instrumentation, and participant self-assessment".
What was found was that MSM regulated the genomic expression of "key genes responsible for skin health and the prevention of aging". The MSM group also showed significant improvements over the placebo group from baseline when it came to crow's feet, skin firmness, tone, and texture. In the end it is stated that effects on gene expression may account for benefits but it must be further researched (I feel as if it may tie into the supposed melanin-altering abilities of MSM).

Something I also found interesting was that there is a patent registered in 2004 which goes into its own detail about the skin-lightening properties of MSM (according to its OWN research, of course.) Supposedly, MSM is "highly effective in lightening the natural skin color of a user and for treating disorders of hyperpigmentation." MSM is "a naturally occurring sulfur compound which may be safely administered topically or orally and which is highly effective for decreasing the ratio of dark melanin to light melanin, and thereby lightening the skin color of a user". When it comes to taking it orally, "Orally ingestible preparations of the skin lightening composition contain approximately 200 mg to 5000 mg MSM per serving."

So, do what you will with this information, but I would suggest even simply supplementing MSM regularly for general health functions for the body. It helps in many different departments in one's body.

None of the ones I found resemble the price you give, the most similar was S/500 buying 2 since each one contains 500g, my main fear is that they will scam me, that's why I ask for a link brother
