Mt2 and freckles

Does melatotan 2 couses freckles to become more visible? My genetics already gave me a lot of them, and I made them slightly dissapear with a serum and don't want them to comeback.
So is it safe to use if I don't want them?

I'm a ginger that takes MT-2 and it only darkened some of my freckles but not all of them. MT-2 has helped me ascend soooooooooooo hard
