Pagnoni showed me this. Bone erosion after 2 years of silicone implants. Now he needs to go with peek to basically replace the bone he lost.

Silicone is shit

And no, his implant wasnt 'missplaced'

Literally no one says it doesn't erode the bone. Even the demon Eppley openly admits bone loss is unavoidable with his silicone implants.

There were some copers here saying otherwise

He tries to downplay it significantly tho, he says it "settles in" and causes a small imprint. Not that it causes continuous erosion which it does.

Just another example of why getting plastic surgery is fucking retarded. You're literally destroying your body.

i wonder if high bone density could prevent this

everyone with silicone implants should supplement vitamin k2

how the fuck is PEEK any different in terms of causing bone erosion JFL

I believe the reason provided was friction caused by silicone specifically because its a soft material, more friction = higher bone loss.
For example fixation with screws would reduce the friction.
Using custom designed implants vs off the shelves ones will fit better and cause less friction.

Harder materials like peek won't move and therefore there won't be a significant degree of friction causing erosion.

Not 100% sure though but that's my understanding how it works.

So it still erodes but less?

@Jade

also there is a limitation to PEEK vs Silicone.

Silicone is more squeezable where the PEEK is more rigid.

Peek wins over muscle so if you go too big you risk a muscle detachment where with silicone you can go big.

Silicon causes a bit of bone erosion, but it's not continuous, never ending process if the implant is fixed.

you are coping cause you want to go with Yaremchuck and he does only silicone. We all know the truth buddy boyo.

No offense.

Oh btw, I had a consultation with a good plastic surgeon from Taiwan, he said the same thing about silicone. When everyone is saying the same thing then you might need to think about it a little bit.

Nah, I also consider Ramieri and one Swedish surgeon.

Also Y does medpor too.

It’s a very minimum loss. I’ve had an implant for over 2 years and it hasn’t lost any length.

A demon seems like an appropriate description for anyone who is fully aware of this problem and continues to sell it as their only alternative.

More "squeezable"! This is one of Eppley's favorite words, and it seems it works for some guys!

When I was a kid, I thought this squeezable factor was a thing to worry about until I started talking to Maxillofacial surgeons who do this daily.

Implants like this are so insignificant compared to what they often do that now I roll my eyes every time I remember how Eppley keeps bringing this up.

Eppley works for a silicone implant company. Of course, he will defend his poison.

It will stop if you stop moving your muscles. In other words, don't ever eat, talk or have emotions that are represented on your face with expressions.

Who likes to get raped just a little bit? As long as it is a little bit is ok?

PEEK, Titanium, UHMWPE, or any other rigid approved material will prevent or drastically minimize this problem. We have explained in detail why that is in previous threads.

Not if you do it correctly, but I see what you are saying. ✌️

Silicone, PMMA, Fillers, Hydrogel, Synthol... ALL CRAP, never do them not worth it, will fuck you up in the long run.

You've just posted a picture and repeated what your doctor said about it. (Of course he says the implant wasn't misplaced; it is his own work, is it not?)

This doesn't actually dispute Eppley's theory on the topic. Eppley says that what appears to be erosion is actually bone remodeling around the new material. This bone remodeling makes the inclusion of the implant more stable and permanent.

I am inclined to believe Eppley's explanation for one reason: When you get correctly fitted custom implants, the material lies directly against the bone. The idea of "erosion" would imply that material from your bone is continually scraped off and lost, but if the implant is directly against the bone, how would that happen? Would it "slide out" somehow? There's no open space there.

Ok. Silicone is good.

Its not his own work. Its eppley's.

Many guys come to him because eppley silicone fuck them up. If this is not enough prof i dont know what it is

Use medpor or PEEK then if you don't like silicone.

silicone DO erode the bone up to some level, but i don'T understand you peek fags. there is not even 1 single study about peek, it's such a new material.

how can you be that sure peek doesn't erode the bone?

What about the infraorbital silicone rim implant that Dr. Taban does?
Does anyone have data for this area? Does it erode the eyes from the bones?

Here's another way to illlustrate my perspective.

Look at the first image you posted. Look at the left side (the patient's right side). See how the x-ray, without the implants included, has what appears to be a "pocket"-shaped space where the implant would sit. You seem to think that space is all due to erosion. But imagine if that upper border over the pocket was extended downwards in a smooth, natural-looking way. That would be an inhumanly wide and thick mandible. Thus, it seems to be a case of bone remodeling, not "erosion" (although some degree of erosion is definitely possible).
