Yep, angle, lighting, distance and the camera you use can fuck you up if you're chad irl.

Notice how 99% of the models always take selfies from at least an arms length and not super up close with a dog shit camera.

Lens distortion tapers in your face, making it look narrow, extends your forehead height, mid face height and makes your chin look a little more recessed. This is why you should not use females as an example of lens distortion because they can actually benefit from it.
