• Back in her generation, you could get onto "graduate" schemes with three A Levels.
• Apprenticeships for A Level leavers provide you with exactly the same training as graduate schemes.
• Most graduate schemes overwork you for 22k-30k especially in FTSE 100 companies. The higher the pay, the more they'll overwork you.
• You're stuck on the same salary for 3 years and can't go to another job after a year for growth.
• You have to do verbal, numerical, reasoning tests, group interviews, only to be rejected.
• Most of these jobs are in major cities where you have to spend your salary on rent.

If you’ve already done your degree then you don’t really have a choice you need to get experience where you can. Ideally during your degree you would do summer internships or take a gap year after a level and do the apprenticeships/internships you mentioned.

Good choice. Sometimes it's not worth going to an expensive uni and racking up all the debt.
However for a lot of high-paid jobs they require you to have a degree...

don’t listen to the autists here and become a plumber or some shit. It depends on the type of graduate scheme you do. For example, if you want to get into IB or finance with a blue-chip, or Big Law, graduate schemes are pretty much pre-requisites and those places usually also retain their graduates.

You will also be paid pretty decently for first job out of uni - I was paid 55k base Y1 and 60k base Y2; pay tripled thereafter.

Save as much as you can and get your surgeries or invest.
