Yeah, I see what you mean. That’s why I like kpop and jpop because I usually don’t understand what they’re singing, and it’s just the song/the voice I care about. Which r&b acts were you into?

My favourite group was SWV, also really liked mary j blige, aaliyah, alicia keys, amerie, and mint condition

Yeah i would listen to female artists more because i preferred their vocals, Boys II Men and 112 are both great aswell however

There wasnt really any RNB from that era that i necessarily disliked because i thought they all had great vocals tbh

Makes sense. I’m that way with jpop, I prefer female vocals more than male vocals but still I’ve got a decent mix of both genders haha.
